The Sourdough feeding mix is a blend of flours for feeding and keeping the live Profibra rice sourdough starter at full fermenting strength.
Use
Intended for feeding the Profibra sourdough starter:
- Pour the Profibra sourdough starter (320 ml) into a clean container, e.g. a 1 l jar.
- Add 200 g of Profibra Sourdough feeding mix and 250 ml of water at about 32°C.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Leave in a warm place for about 24 hours.
- After this time the sourdough has a pleasant sour smell and is ready to use or to store in the fridge.
For up to 14 days the sourdough keeps its full fermenting activity (it can be used after warming to room temperature). From 14 to 28 days it is still alive, but its fermenting strength decreases - then it needs to be fed.
